When does technology go too far?

As I posted in a previous blog, I love technology and what it has to offer. However, how far is too far?? When does "just because we can" cease to be the reason to invent something?

A group at MIT came up with a device that they are dubbing 'SixthSense'. It allows you to get more information about anything you look at and rather than requiring you to have a specific screen to use to see the information provided, any screen will work. It's crazy!
