Fantastic Weight Watchers Snacks!

I just tried the Weight Watchers Mint Cookie Crisp bar and the Weight Watchers Season Ginger Snap cookies... OH MY GOSH! SO GOOD! The Mint Cookie Crisp bar is only one point and the Ginger Snaps are two. Great little pick me ups during the day and to stay on track with your Weight Watchers goals!

When co-workers make Weight Watchers HARD

It happens in every office... the employee that loves to bake and bakes really well brings in CUPCAKES!

Those who know me know that cupcakes are one of my MAJOR weaknesses... it's just sad how much I love them.

So how does one avoid cupcakes while on Weight Watchers? Grab your zero point snacks like bell peppers or carrots and a cup of coffee and WALK AWAY!

It was REAL hard to walk away, but I feel proud of myself for resisting.

Until the next temptation...

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO MEEEE!!!

Ryan and I have been together for a year today... that's CRAZY! So much has happened in this year and I couldn't be happier.

For our one year "gift" to each other (I'm not a huge fan of giving gifts because you've been together for a period of time) we're going to Cambria for the weekend to go wine tasting and just relax and get away. It will be so nice!

Here's a mini photo tour of our year together...

Until next year :)

And the totals are in...

I had my first weigh in with Weight Watchers was last night and it was SUCH a good experience. I lost FIVE POUNDS in a week! It was soo exciting and very motivating. I'm so much more into the program now wanting to keep working out and keeping with the points program. It truly WORKS and I love that. So easy with HUGE results. :)

Until next week...

When a person on Weight Watchers starts craving CHIPOTLE!

Lately I've been doing SO WELL on Weight Watchers. I am able to squeeeeze into some jeans I wasn't able to even get about my thighs last week and I am no longer STARVING all the time.

Well today I started CRAVING Chipotle like NOTHING else. The yummy tortilla, beans, rice, guacamole, steak, sour cream and everything else that makes Chipotle so AMAZING!!

*sigh* So I looked up the point values in a burrito using Chipotle Fan's Nutrition Calculator and then plugged the results into Weight Watchers points finder...

*drumroll*

26 POINTS!

Ugh... I get 22 in a day... but the 35 flex points are hardly used with me... soo maybe that's my way out every once and a while. :)

Here's the nutrition label for "my burrito". Burrito Bol, tortilla on the side, rice, black beans, steak, green salsa, cheese, sour cream, and guacamole.

Day Two of Weight Watchers

I’m currently in the middle of my second day of Weight Watchers. It’s amazing how much you can actually eat in terms of the types of food. However, since you’re on the points system, you don’t get to eat as much as you want. Makes sense when you’re in the first meeting, but when you start counting out your points, man they go QUICK!

I have 22 points for the day and 35 extra points for the week. 22 seemed like a high number, but good grief it’s not nearly enough it feels like. I met a friend in the first session and I have been texting her asking if the constant ”I’M SO HUNGRY!! feeling ever goes away. She assured me it does. Phew!

My thoughts are because my body isn’t getting all the same energy from the sugary snacks and random carbs I would eat throughout the day and is trying to now burn stored energy (aka FAT) into energy. Thus my body is working a lot harder making my sleepy and hungry.

So far I am a huge fan and can really see how this will be successful. I have used Weight Watchers eTools and have been so impressed. Soo many recipes and the tracker so you don’t have to write it down. I’m a fan!! Anyways, I’ll be sure to keep you guys posted on my progress in the future.

Until next time…

I'm accepting it... I've gained weight

I've always been one to say "you don't just wake up one day and can't see your toes" when people claim that they have no idea how they gained a ton of weight. Though I'm not where near that point, I have to admit that I have gained 45 pounds since I started college. Though I never gained the "freshman 10" or "sophomore 15", I gradually gained weight with new prescriptions and with changes in lifestyles. Such as moving home so I don't walk around a campus full of hills and stairs all day and now that I work full-time, I work 40 hours a week and sit staring at a computer. Not that best way to combat weight gain.

I'm grateful that I don't hold all my weight in one spot, so it doesn't look like I've gained almost 50 pounds, it's still annoying when pants you bought a couple months ago don't fit..
. boo! I work out a lot with friends from work during lunch, I think the weight lifting and lack of carido just worked against me. So I've started doing the cycling class a couple days a week to balance out the weight lifting, but it doesn't seem to be working to the extent I would like.

Well with all that said, I have decided to join Weight Watchers with a co-worker and my mom in hopes to lose at least 20 pounds. My goal is 30 pounds, but realistically I need to think in baby steps and celebrate the small successes :)

Taking this new step in my life, I'll be posting good recipes and some stories about meetings and whatnot about my new journey :)

Until next time...

Oh Sarah Palin... you're so silly

I'm a pretty big David Letterman fan when it comes to his Top Ten every night. As most my friends know, I'm not a Sarah Palin fan... David Letterman created yet another great Top Ten and zinged my favorite political nincompoop.

Enjoy!
