"So I kind of get what you do, but I really just don't get it."
To which I replied with a laugh and explained it the best I could. I'm sure she's not the only one who has wondered just what I do these days now that I post random comments about being able to have business conference calls in my jammies without leaving the comforts of my bed and spending Wednesdays at Disneyland with friends.
So, what do I do now?
Great question. Here's an interview with myself answering that very question.Company: The Jim Seybert Company
Title: Partner
Duties: I work with clients who need help with online marketing and social media strategy and education as well as brand management/creation and communication/presentation skills. I work one-on-one with clients to discover their wants and needs and establish a plan to help them achieve their goals. Whether that is teaching them how to do something in the online marketing/social media world or handling it for them or coming to their workspace and leading a workshop on communication skills, I enjoy working with a wide variety of clients.
But wait, how come you also call yourself a corporate trainer and who is Fred Pryor?
Again, great question! Find the answer below.
Fred Pryor Seminars buys days from me where I am sent around the country to teach full-day seminars on various topics.
Wait, what?
Yes, you read that correctly. I am not an employee of Fred Pryor Seminars, I am a contracted speaker for when they need someone to teach a course that is in my knowledge bank.
Okay.... go on.
What that means is I have told Fred Pryor they can buy up to 20 days from me a month and have a handful of topics I feel comfortable teaching. For instance, the last week of July/beginning of August, I was in five different cities in five days teach "Professional Communication: What Message Are You Sending?" to roughly 100 people throughout the week. Class sizes ranged from eight people to 40 people and all age groups and career levels. I woke up in one city, taught there and then drove to the next city only to do it all over again the next day.
It.was.FANTASTIC!

| This is THE Fred Pryor |
Week one: Oregon (four days)
Week two: Washington (four days)
Week three: Alaska (three days)
Make sense? Hopefully that explains a little bit about what I'm up to these days and if you have questions or perhaps want to chat about the possibility of me helping you or your company out, leave a comment or shoot me an email.
Until next time...
