"Sense of Arrival" is something very important to those who plan events. It's making sure when people arrive at your planned event, they know they have a arrived at something significant and special. It's not impossible to achieve, but it's difficult to do it well. While I was walking around Disneyland I noticed how they are VERY good at making sure the guests feel welcome. We first went to California Adventure Theme Park and immediately I felt like I was in the COOLEST place ever. The theme music, the artwork and the attention to detail to every little thing from the plants being California native plants to the landmarks represented throughout the park. Also, while walking around Disneyland Theme Park it was as magical as ever. There is something about Disneyland that makes me smile just thinking about it. Something that makes Disneyland special during the winter, is the fact that they deck it out for Christmas and everything is covered in lights and redecorated for that extra special touch. Many of you have probably been on the Haunted Mansion ride... pretty simple, nothing too special about it. However, at Christmas they deck it out, complete re-do it, turn it upside-down and change it to The Nightmare Before Christmas. It was INCREDIBLE!! Absolutely INCREDIBLE! While standing in line (the longest of the entire day), there was so much to look at, so much that was different specific for Christmas. AMAZING!!
So after walking through Disneyland, we were POOPED and freezing cold from riding a couple water rides and then we decided to run back to our hotel and change and then came back for Fantasmic and the fireworks. All in all, Disneyland was AMAZING!
